Sandra Williams, née Presswood, a devoted homemaker and faithful member of Hiawassee Baptist Church, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Riceville, Tennessee. Born on May 30, 1943, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Sandra dedicated her life to her family and her faith, embodying love and commitment in all she did.
Sandra was a woman who cherished her family dearly. Her warmth and unwavering devotion touched the lives of many, and she is remembered with deep respect and affection. She was the beloved wife of Earl Williams Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they shared a life filled with love and companionship.
Sandra was the proud mother of sons Earl Williams Jr. and Roger Williams, the latter married to Tiffany. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren Brandon Flowers (Kayla) , Christopher Flowers, Dakota Williams, and Kate Williams. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Bradden Flowers, Skylar Flowers, Annlea Flowers, and Colton Williams, also survived by one brother, Bill Presswood, along with several nieces and nephews who remember her fondly.who brought immense joy and pride to her heart. Left to cherish her memory are all her friends from Willow Acres Assisted Living, whom she dearly loved.
Sandra’s home was one of comfort, kindness and the best home cooking around.
While Sandra’s precious daughter, Melinda Joan Flowers, and beloved husband of fifty-nine years, Earl Williams Sr., along with her siblings Elizabeth McCallie and Don Presswood, and brother Harold Presswood, have passed on, their memories remain treasured in the hearts of all who knew them.
A Graveside Service to honor and remember Sandra will be held on May 19, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Old Salem Cemetery, located at 2909 TN-163 in Delano, Tennessee. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her love are invited to join in this peaceful farewell.
Sandra Williams’ life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the enduring power of faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A special thanks to all staff of Willow Acres for caring for her so well, it was truly appreciated.
