Pearl Morrow, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Pearl with her childhood sweetheart and husband James Clinton Morrow was widely known throughout the area as a hardworking and generous business owners whose kindness and dedication touched countless lives.
Throughout her life, Pearl proudly owned and operated several local businesses that became well-known gathering places in the community, including 58 Short Stop, Dalton Pike Market, Angela’s Homestyle, Mouse Creek Market, and Hiwassee Laundry Mat and Campground. Through these businesses, Pearl built lasting relationships with customers and neighbors who quickly became like family. Her welcoming smile, strong work ethic and caring heart made her a respected and admired figure to all who knew her.
Above all else, Pearl was devoted to her family. She was a proud and loving mother to her five children: Sharon Johnson (Steve), Connie Pendergrass, Randy Morrow (Sharon), Steve Morrow (Christa), and Angela Johnson (Alan). She had several grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved and admired. Her greatest joy in life was seeing her family grow and thrive, and she poured her love and wisdom into each of them.
She was daughter to the late Raught and Emma Taylor and preceded in death of brothers, James (Jim) Taylor, Otis Taylor, Robert Taylor, Chuck Taylor. Sisters, Neil Cunningham, Geneva (Bloss) Morrow. She is survived by sister. Brend Collins and brother, Jack Taylor (Ann). She had several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly also.
Pearl will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the countless ways she gave back to the community she loved. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched along the way.
She will be deeply missed by her children, extended family, friends, and the many community members who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
