Marlene Elizabeth Humberd

Marlene Elizabeth Young Humberd,71, of Benton, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at a Chattanooga hospital.  She was a retired teacher with the Polk County school system.    

She was affectionately known as “GranMar” and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, David S. Humberd; parents, Marvin Duran Young and Verlon Mae Walker Young; and brother, Marvin Young.

Survivors include her son, Dan Humberd and wife, Andrea of Atlanta, GA; grandson, David Jace Humberd; brother, Ed Young and wife, Cindy of Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
