Jessie Ray Cranfield, 57, of Georgetown, passed away surrounded by his family at a local hospital. He was born on March 27, 1969, to Zeno and Mary Ruth Cranfield, who both preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley Cranfield and Marvin Cranfield.

Jessie was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church and was the longtime owner and operator of A to Z Auto Sales. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a friend to many. His greatest joy was his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Rachel Gibson Cranfield; his children, Josh Cranfield, Deven Cranfield, Candace Godfrey (Nate), and Angelica Byers; and his four precious grandchildren, Natty Godfrey, Raylynn Godfrey, JoJo Godfrey, and Peter Byers. He is also survived by his brother, Keith Cranfield and wife, Darlene; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Main State Room of Buckner & Fike Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel, with Brother Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Stanfield Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Childs, David Childs, David Perkins, James Morrow, Ted Davis, and Jimmy Smith.
