Obituary

Finley Revis, a dedicated engineer and devoted family man, passed away peacefully at his home on May 11, 2026. Born on October 12, 1938, in Dayton, Tennessee, to Carl and Alice Revis, both precede him in death. Finley lived a life marked by service, skill, and steadfast faith. He attended Echoes of Mercy Baptist church and retired from Combustion and Maytag, respectively.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Revis, and their sons, Tim Revis and Wayne Revis and sister in law Bonnie Revis of Arizona. Finley also leaves behind his stepchildren: Marilyn Vaughn (Jimmy), Jerrie Buckner (Randell), Patty Smith (Jerry), Lisa Murray (Bob), and step-son David Carter (Debbie). His family circle extends to two grandchildren, Derrick Revis and Jake Murray, along with several beloved nieces and nephews who held him dear.

Finley's memory is also marked by the loss of cherished family members. His dear granddaughter Brandy Revis, sister Carlene Revis, and brothers Donnie Revis and Felix Revis.

Finley’s proudest accomplishments were rooted firmly in his family bonds, his faith, and his military service, all of which defined the essence of his character and the legacy he leaves behind.

There will be a memorial service scheduled at a later date.

Buckner & Fike are in charge of all arrangements.
