In Loving Memory of Dianna Lynne Geren (née Western)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dianna Lynne Geren, who entered

eternal rest on July 22, 2026, at the age of 73. Dianna was the devoted wife of Mitchell

Geren, her partner and greatest love for over 51 years. Together, they built a life rooted

in steadfast commitment, laughter, and family. She was the beloved mother of four

daughters – Natalie (Jeff) Lane, Brandy (Wesley) Gammill, Jenny (Jonathan) Dip, and

Lindsey Geren. She was the cherished sister of Len (Rita) Western and family. She was

the immensely proud grandmother of Gabrielle, Olivia, and Isabella Lane, Braxton,

Taylor, and Alex Goins, Julia and Noah Dip. She shared a close and loving relationship

with her extended family members, Bruce and Patsy Parton.

Though her family was the greatest joy of her life, the love she gave extended far

beyond those related to her. For over 45 years, Dianna served at TC Thompson's

Childrens Hospital and Erlanger East laboratories, where she led with extraordinary

skill, precision, and integrity. She approached her work with quiet excellence and deep

compassion, earning the respect and love of her colleagues while helping provide

exceptional care.

Whether offering comfort during life's hardest moments or celebrating its happiest ones,

Dianna instinctively knew how to love people well. To know Dianna was to know

generosity. She was a giver in every sense of the word. She gave her time without

hesitation, her wisdom without judgment, and her love without condition. She never

sought recognition for the countless ways she helped others; she simply saw a need

and quietly filled it. She taught not only through her words but through the diligent

example of doing hard work day in and day out. She found beauty in growing things,

satisfaction in creating with her hands, and joy in making a house feel like a home. If

there were ever a picture-perfect example of what it means to be a wife, mother,

grandmother, and friend, it was Dianna. A life so beautifully lived leaves a legacy that

can never be lost. It lives on in every lesson she taught, every life she touched, every

family gathering she made brighter, and every person fortunate enough to have known

and loved her.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Mary Margaret Western, Jr. and

her grandparents, KC and Ruth Hooper and Noah and Georgia Western, Sr.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 10:00am – 1:30pm at Buckner-Fike

Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life in the funeral home chapel at 1:30pm

with Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial

Gardens, accompanied by a ceremonial white dove release.

The following will serve as pall bearers: Barry Goins, Brad Geren, Tate Geren, Wesley

Geren, Cole Geren, and Zachary Geren.
