Betty Sue Lillard, 95, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2026, at Decatur Wellness Center in Decatur, Tennessee. Betty was born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, and was a 1948 graduate of Bradley Central High School. Her working career included employment with Service Cleaners and Cleveland National Bank. She later continued her career with First American Bank, where she served as head bookkeeper. Betty was a longtime member of Big Springs United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served as treasurer for many years. She will be remembered for her dedication to her church, her family, and her community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zenas and Johnnie Bryant; her husband of more than 50 years, Melvin Lillard; and her sister, Patricia Nelson. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandra Bogges; son-in-law, Charles Boggess; her brother, Mitchell (Kitty) Bryant; her grandchildren, Brian Stevison and James Stevison (Kathleen); her great-granddaughter, Savannah Rose Stevison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Decatur Wellness Center for providing excellent and compassionate care for Betty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Springs United Methodist Church in Betty's memory.
