Bertie Lee (Tommie) Adair, 86, a resident of Etowah, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2008 in a Cleveland healthcare facility after a short illness. She was a retired operator from Bell South.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E. S. and Nora Belle Freeman Adair; three sisters: Martha Nell Svenson, Elizabeth Adair and Marie Benson.
She is survived by her two nieces: Louise Cerbasi of Tallapoosa, GA and Debbie Orien and husband, Jim of Port St. Lucie, FL; two nephews: Billy Benson and wife,Barbara of Tallapoosa, GA and Tommy Benson and wife,Evelyn of Cleveland; and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Griffith officiating.
Her family will receive friends from noon to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
