Doris Fay Maroon

Doris Fay Maroon, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. She was employed at Bradley County Nursing Home for 20 years and volunteered at the nursing home after her retirement. She enjoyed yard work especially working with flowers. She leaves behind a loving memory and a family that will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Childs and Ola Mae Teague Childs. Survivors include her 3 sons: Jerry L. Maroon, E. Frank Maroon and wife, Johnnie and Kendall Maroon; 1 daughter, Connie E. Allen and husband, Cecil all of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Jewell Everett and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January13, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Alan Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill-Lebanon Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
