Rethal R. Stewart

Rethal R. Stewart, 93, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Stewart; daughter, Eugenia Roberson; son, Jerry Stewart; granddaughters, Janice Brackett and Stephanie Evans; parents, Burt and Bogie Ballew; and brothers: Charles Ballew and Bill Ballew. Survivors include her children: George Stewart, Douglas Stewart and wife, Carolyn; Carolyn Cartwright and husband, Blaine all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Rick Roberson of Huntsville, AL; Connie Kantor of Punta Gorda, FL; Jennifer Styles of Greenback; Roger Stewart, Teresa Choat and Kristy Whitmire of Cleveland; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great-grandchlildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Pauline Cartwright. A remembrance of life service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Doyle McCracken officiating. Interment will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandsons: Rick Roberson, Roger Stewart, Jeffrey Choat,Patrick Stewart,Jackie Whitmire and Josh Choat serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
