Leatha Irene Silvers

Leatha I. Silvers, 76, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Mrs. Silvers was retired from Hardwick Clothes. Mrs. Silvers was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon L. Burke and Laura L. Orr Burke; husband, Thomas Silvers; and one brother, Donald Burke. Survivors include her daughter, Ilene Stamey of Old Fort; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Georgia Faye Bishop of Cleveland and Virginia Burch of Chatsworth, Georgia; three brothers, Forrest Burke, Doyle Burke, and Julian Burke all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 12, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Richard McKeehan officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
