Ruth Imogene Coleman

Ruth Imogene Coleman, 87, a resident of Parma, Ohio for the past 17 years and formerly a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at a Parma, Ohio healthcare facility. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Coleman was employed as a telephone operator at Southern Bell Telephone for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.L. Coleman, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Coleman; and her parents, Orlando and Dama Clayton Geren. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her daughter, Kay Allen of Lakewood, OH; sons, Gary Coleman, Randy Coleman and Terry Coleman all of Parma, OH; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
