Reverend Jerry Womac, 62, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Polk County. He had served as a Pastor at Life Care in Cleveland for the past 6 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel M. Womac and Lillie F. Walker Womac; brothers: Billy Ray Womac, Bo Womac and Jesse Tommy Womac. Survivors include his wife, Judy Womac of Cleveland; children: Darby Womac, Misty Howard and husband Lamar and Travis Womac all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Tra Howard, Caleb Womac, Shae Howard, Alexis Womac and Jeremiah Howard; brothers: Clifford Womac, Gene Taylor Womack both of Charleston, Jimmy Womac and Eddie Womac both of Cleveland, and Lon Womac of Athens; sisters: Roberta Powell of Riceville, Linda Jones and Joan Saunders both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Welcome Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Womac Cemetery in McMinn County. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
