Betty V. Orr

Betty V. Orr, 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In earlier years, she was a secretary for Southern Coach Lines in Chattanooga. She was an avid painter and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Orr; her parents, Phillip P. and Ella Marie Varnell Vance; and a sister, Phyllis Graham. Survivors include two nieces, Linda Long and Betty Reid both of Florida and a special friend, Gene Hilliard of Cleveland. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Fort Hill Cemetery - Veterans Section with Reverend Tom Wickes officiating. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. A gathering of friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Fike Funeral Home.
