Thomas "Hawkeye" Shelton

Thomas R. "Hawkeye" "Poncy" Shelton, 51, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in a local health care facility. He attended Galilee Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Shelton; and brothers, Eddie Dean Shelton and Addie "Smooth" Shelton, who passed away last month. Survivors include his wife, Eva Marie Shelton of Spring City; father, Ed Shelton of Cleveland; four children, Carl Ed Shelton and Haleigh of Graysville, Amber Wilson and husband, Wayne of Cleveland and Ashley Shelton and Jessica Shelton, both of Spring City; four grandchildren, Harrisyn Cofer, Ayvnn Wilson, Christopher Shelton and Bryson Shelton; sister, Tina Gilliland of Georgetown; brothers, Johnny Shelton and Noney Cofer, both of Georgetown; special aunts, Edith Bates and Barbara Grissom; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow in Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
