Arthur "Art" P. Love

Arthur "Art"  P. Love, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his home.  He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism.  Arthur was retired from Colonial Stores as an advertising manager of the south east United States after 37 years of service.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.  Arthur was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church.  For many years he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Riverdale, GA. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry M. and Minnie Lucille Ponder Love; sisters, Eva Brown and Ruth Duke; and brothers, Olin Love and Willard Love.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Ruby Bowen Love of Cleveland; children, Bonnie Whitaker and husband, Dave of Cleveland and Alan Love and wife, Carol of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Rachel Love-Mikson  and April Love, both of Jacksonville, FL, Beth Davis and husband, Nathan of Nashville and Mandy Beaty and husband, Brandon of Cleveland; and six great grandchildren, Hunter Mikson, Tyler Mikson, Katie Beaty, Candace Beaty, Emily Davis and Sarah Davis.

The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with military honors.  Nathan Davis, Brandon Beaty, George Warren, Maina Ndegwa, Anthony Bowers and John Thomason will serve as pallbearers. 

His family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
