Joan Lovell Still, 86, a long-time Cleveland church and community leader, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at a local health care facility, following a lengthy illness. She was a 1947 graduate of Bradley County High School and then went on to business school in Chattanooga. She worked as an accountant for a number of area businesses including those of Bradley County Farm Bureau, Lawrence Rentfro Motors and attorney, W. K. Fillauer.
She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God for 60 years and served at the president of the Unity Sunday School Class for 50 years. In earlier years she was a member of the Young Farmers and Homemakers Club.
Mrs. Still was preceded in death by her mother, Cecil Eldridge Lovell; father, Holman Lovell; sister, Connie Clark; and brother, Jess Lovell.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Jimmy Still of Cleveland; four daughters, Sandra Conner Bean of Houston, TX, Patricia Still Reynolds of Cleveland, Luann Still Chappell of Gallatin and Margot M. Still of Cleveland; sisters, Johnny Maupin of Cleveland and Wanda Wilkey of Hixson; and life-long friend, Glenn Williams of Signal Mountain.
A gathering of friends will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home. A prayer service will follow in the chapel with the Reverend Jerry Young officiating.
The interment will be held at 2:30 on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 p.m.
