Joyce Amy Orr

Joyce "Dowdy" Amy Orr, age 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 27, 2006 in Knoxville. She was retired from Duracell Battery after thirty years of sevice. Mrs. Orr was the daughter of the late George F. and Vera Frances Stiles Dowdy and was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Orr, Sr. She is survived by four children and spouses: John Orr, Jr., and Jeannie Orr of Cleveland, Debbie and Chris Todd of Knoxville, Eva Orr of Cleveland, Arlene and Rick Cox of Rossville, GA; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary F. Dowdy of Centerline, MI and Julia Marie Midge Qualls of Benton, TN; one brother, George Dowdy of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
