Clifton Pearl Maples

Clifton Pearl Maples, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the family residence. He was a member of the West Cleveland Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruby May McGuire Maples of Cleveland; two children and spouses: Harold and Judy Tallent of Ft. Valley, Georgia and Gene and Anita Tallent of Byron, Georgia; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Arris Cavender officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. His family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O. Box 19269, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37416.
