Lena Elizabeth Woody Earls, 82, resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, in local health facility. She was a member of Bowman Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church. She also worked in the nursery at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallie Earls; her parents, James Greely and Blanche Beatrice Pleasant Woody; and five brothers, James “EJ”, Henry, Wayne, Gary and Lynn Woody

She is survived by her son, Lou Wallie Earls and wife Alice of Cleveland, TN; one granddaughter, Tiffany Jones and husband Clint of Havelock, NC; four Great grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, Sabrina, and Andruw Jones of Havelock, NC; three sisters, Holly Carter, Beatrice “Irene” Swatzell, and Priscilla Clark, all of Greeneville, TN; three brothers, Daniel Woody of Georgetown, TN, William “Bill” Woody of Dayton, TN, and Paul Woody of Athens, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Arnall and Reverend Dwight Herod officiating. Interment will be at Earls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, September 15, 2014.
