Debbie Denise Young Ford, 48, of Cleveland passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born in Lenoir City, TN.
Before moving to Cleveland 30 years ago, she lived in Abingdon, VA. She was an orthodontics assistant for Tennessee Valley Orthodontics, a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and the Firefighter Ladies Auxiliary 3748, and an avid cat lover. She was a graduate of Abingdon, VA, High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Henrietta Faulkner Young.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, Donald Edward and Pattie Young; husband, Gordon Ford; son, Christian Michael Ford, all of Cleveland; sister, Donna Houser and husband Dennis of Roanoke, VA; niece, Lindsay Houser and nephew, Ty Houser, both of Roanoke, VA; and a great nephew, Luke Chitwood of Danville, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Mitch Maloney officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 the funeral home. The Cleveland Fire Department will serve as Honor Guards.
