Vance R. Green, 77, a resident of Cohutta, GA passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Artha Patterson Green. He is survived by his children, Linda Moore of Deming, New Mexico; and David Green of Cohutta, GA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Martha Gates and Exie Flowers both of Cleveland; and Dellie Conner of Blue Ridge, GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend James Whaley officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Copperhill, TN. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
